How to find the perfect wine for your Friday night dinner

Friday is finally here and that is always a good reason for a little celebration. How about a wonderful dining experience with a glass of nice wine? Sounds good, doesn’t it? However, choosing the right wine can become a real task as it is so easy to get lost in the sea of options. Good news everyone – it does not have to be that stressful. Once you understand the basics, picking up the right bottle will become real fun!  This simple tip may save your date, make you the best guest at a dinner party or help you impress your friends coming over for a dinner at your place.
The main point is to achieve balance. The wine and the meal should not overwhelm each other. On the contrary, they should be equal in terms of richness. Heavy dishes will go nicely with a heavier red wine, whereas light dishes such as a salad will match with lighter-bodied white wine. Follow this easy advice and you will see that choosing the right wine is more intuitive than you have probably thought.
For those who are still lingering over the wine list, here are some examples:
Chili: this is a heavy and spicy dish so it needs a bold and fruity wine. Try red wine with flavours of dark fruits such as cherries and plums.
Fried chicken: always pair simple and classic dishes such as fried chicken with a wine equally simple with a good balance of acidity and sweetness, such as Riesling.
Grilled cheese: everyone loves it; salty, crispy and buttery. Match it with a sparkling wine to achieve the perfect balance. Also, a glass of rosé will work just as well thanks to its fruitiness and acidity.
Lasagna: you cannot make a mistake with medium bodied wine such as Chianti.
Pizza: get a glass of light-bodied red wine and enjoy!
Most of all, remember that Friday is here for you to relax. Tasting wine and choosing the right one can be great fun. Especially with WineEmotion! Each system combines the love for wine with modern technology so that you can enjoy the fresh taste of a just uncorked bottle. Moreover, your wine is always going to be perfectly tempered. Cheers!
Have a great Friday!
